- Alonso, José Manuel
- He is member of the W3C Team, a group of researchers and engineers who manages W3C technical activities and operations. José came to W3C Team as a W3C Fellow in January 2007 working in the Technology and Society Domain. The purpose of the fellowship is to understand specific government and citizens' needs related to eGovernment services, identify eGovernment aspects that put Web interoperability at risk, to suggest how governments can deliver better and more efficient services through computer technologies, and to coordinate discussions and actions for possible future efforts of the Consortium in eGovernment. This W3C fellowship is sponsored by Fundación CTIC (Centre for the Development of Information and Communication Technologies in Asturias), current W3C Spain Office host, where José was the Manager since 2004.
- Álvarez González, Ma América
- Informatics Director-General for the Government of the Principality of Asturias since 2003. Previously, she was the technical Director of a computer services multinational enterprise working in the industrial, banking and Administration sectors, for which she performed outsourcing, ERP and CRM setting out duties.
- Amutio-Gómez, Miguel A.
- Lead of the Planning and Exploitation Area of the Spanish Ministry of Public Administrations since 1995 and member of the ATI. He has been a member of the Spanish Delegation for the European Union IDA (until 2004) and IDABC (since 2005) Programmes. He is the “Security, Normalization and Conservation Criteria for the applications used for regulatory powers practice” Project Manager and member of the MAGERIT Project Team. Among other activities and projects, he is also the technical institution Chair of the AENOR AEN GET 13 “Risk Management” and teaches at the INAP.
- Bailin, Adam
- Digital Media Manager for the UK Central Office of Information. After working as a web developer for several years, Adam moved to the UK Cabinet Office to work for the Technology Policy team on interoperability, XML schemas and data standards. Adam is actively involved in the digital inclusion agenda at the European level, contributing to the study, "eAccessibility of public sector services in the European Union". He recently took over responsibility for the Guidelines for UK Government Websites and management of the .gov.uk domain name system.
- Brown, Peter F.
- He is the founder of Pensive.eu and the Chair of eGovernment Focus Group for the CEN (European Committee for Standardization). This group was created with the intention of knowing the diverse activities developed in the field of standardization in e-Government and to discuss the future actions to be taken in that respect. Peter was also a Senior Expert on eGovernment strategy in the Austrian Federal Chancellery where he promoted work on pan-European eGovernment services and EU "Information Society" policies.
- Birkenbihl, Klaus
- He is member of the W3C Team, a group of researchers and engineers who manages W3C technical activities and operations. Previously, he was the Manager of the W3C German Office and a founder member of the EARN (European Academic Research Network) for which he worked as Deputy Director in Germany. He was also a member of the operational committee of the German Research Network (DFN). Klaus participated in the steering committee of EASInet (which forms part of the EASI programme launched by IBM to exchange information on supercomputing techniques and to share in joint research, encouraging the development of European collaboration projects and the experience exchange on supercomputing). Also, he was the Chairman of the German Chapter of the Internet Society.
- Campos, Antonio
- Associate Proffesor at the Universidad de Oviedo and R&D&i Department Lead in Fundación CTIC. He also takes part and manages different initiatives related to the creation of national and international policies and strategies on R&D&i.
- Dardailler, Daniel
- He is the W3C Associate Chair for Europe, Head of W3C Offices, and Chair of the Official standard liaison Task Force of the Consortium. He sits on the Board of Directors of the ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers), a non-profit international organization which coordinates Internet's unique identifiers system worldwide. He is also a member of the UN Internet Governance Forum advisory group.
- Fernández Ruíz, Mª Jesús
- She is the Zaragoza City Council Representative in the W3C Advisory Committee. She also leads its Web site since it was launched in 1994, and the “Zaragoza e-Mobile City” project. Mª Jesús teaches at the Database and Internet Master at the Universidad de Zaragoza, and has participated actively in projects on Information Systems Management, Web Accessibility and Semantic Services.
- García Vieira, Francisco
- Competivity and Innovation Manager of Red.es, a public management entity ascribed to the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade. Among Red.es functions are the encouragement and analysis of the Information Society through the Telecommunications and Information Society Observatory, the General Administration counselling, and the ".es" domain names registry management.
- Herman, Ivan
- The W3C Semantic Web Activity Lead and the primary contacts for the W3C Offices in China, Hong Kong, Hungary, and Korea. He is also member of the IW3C2, the organization which manages the WWW annual Conference series, and which aims to provide the world a forum for discussion about the evolution of the Web, the standardization of its associated technologies, and their impact on society.
- Lafon, Yves
- W3C Web Services Activity Lead. Lafon entered W3C in 1995, and worked for a certain time in the Arena project (a Consortium's testbed browser based on style sheets), Jigsaw (an HTTP/1.1 server written in Java) and SOAP 1.2.
- Márquez, Juan Miguel
- Current Director-General for the Modernization of the Administration, Ministry for Public Administrations (MAP). Márquez has worked as a researcher for the Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas, and has been the Director of the Computer Services at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and the Coordinator of the Studies and Programmes Registries.
- Mijares, Alberto
- Technology Area Lead at Fundación CTIC, his professional career has been related to the development of Web and multimedia applications. Currently, his work is focused on the design of Web quality tools and on the application of W3C Standards and Recommendations on accesibility, movility and “RIA" (Rich Internet Applications).
- Novaretti, Serge
- Project Officer of the European eGovernment Services for the IDABC (Interoperable Delivery of European eGovernment Services to Public Administrations, Businesses and Citizens), a programme managed by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Business and Industry. IDABC issues recommendations, develops solutions and provides services that enable national and European administrations to communicate and collaborate electronically in an efficient manner, while offering public services to businesses and citizens in Europe.
- Nunez, Mauro
- W3C North American Business Manager. He coordinates financial matters at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), entity in which the W3C was founded. He also contributes in the membership, legal, policy, among other areas.
- Pemberton, Steven
- He chairs the HTML and XForms Working Groups at the W3C. He chaired the first-ever W3C event, the workshop on style sheets, which was also the first W3C internationalisation workshop. He was editor-in-chief of the "ACM/interactions" magazine.
- Peristeras, Vassilios
- Senior Researcher of the DERI (Digital Enterprise Research Institute) at the National University of Ireland, Galway, where he takes part in the Semantic Web cluster. This initiative pursues the goal of defining and linking web data in a way that it can be used by machines. E-Government is one of the issues studied in this group.
- Polo Paredes, Luís
- Semantic Web Line Lead in the R&D&i department at Fundación CTIC. He is also member of the W3C Rule Interchange Format Working Group and of the Web Evolution group in the INES Platform.
- Velleman, Eric
- Director of the Bartiméus Accessibility Foundation, whose mission is to improve the accessibility of Internet and other digital media for all people including the elderly and people with disabilities. Their expertise includes all accessibility features of all multimedia formats used by W3C and other consortia.
- Zaremba, Maciej
- PhD researcher with the DERI (Digital Enterprise Research Institute), Galway, Ireland. Maciej is working in the area of Semantic Web Services. He is a member of the WSMX Working Group, WSMX developer and member of the Semantic Execution Environment (SEE) TC with OASIS. His main research interest is in Semantic Web services, B2B integration and BPM area.
