The W3C Spanish Office is one of the fifteen offices that W3C has worldwide. These offices act as local points of contact, and make sure that W3C and its specifications are known in their region.
The W3C Spanish Office home page has the goal of providing information on W3C technologies and actions taken by W3C and the Spanish Office, using international and national news published at the Spanish Office home page and the RSS channel as means of communication.
The type of information that can be found at the W3C Spanish Office home page is as follows:
Some news published at the W3C home page are fully translated and included into the Spanish Office home page. Sometimes, there are delays in the translation due to meetings, trips, time zone offset, bank holidays, etc., therefore, W3C Web page is the most up to date resource.
The Spanish Office publishes all W3C news translated into Spanish and also includes local news, highlighted in blue to distinguish those from the ones produced by W3C. They are also marked with HTML code, using the ALT attribute where 'Noticia Oficina Española' (Spanish Office news) is the text equivalent for the image bullets used to list the news.
The Spanish Office home page displays the news separate in two sections. Section Últimas noticias, for latest news, (with a maximum of five news) where title and full text is displayed. And section Noticias anteriores (with a maximum of fifteen news) which is the section for previous news where only the news title is displayed, offering a quick view of the news published recently. The news archive is also an useful resource to find all news since 2003.
All W3C Press Releases are also fully translated and published at the Spanish Office press release Web page, trying to keep synchronization with the publication of W3C press releases.
The Spanish Office also produces its own press releases that are published in its press release archive, under section Notas de Prensa de la Oficina Española. This Web page includes Spanish Office press releases and translated W3C press releases.
At the Spanish Office home page, it is also possible to find material produced by the office such as the A to Z dictionary on W3C technologies, the Quick guides of W3C technologies or Spanish office public presentations.
Other information published on the Spanish Office Web site is About W3C, Join W3C, Contact, Members, etc.
